STAR STRUCK BOOK LAUNCH!
We had the launch of our book Star Struck with author and illustrator Lavanya Karthik and Publishing Director Shobha Viswanath at the Vizag Junior Lit Fest!
Written by Lavanya Karthik, illustrated by Abhilasha Dewan with art direction by Pooja Dhingra, Star Struck is a sparkling journey through the 12 zodiac signs in verse.
CHILDREN’S DAY BILINGUAL STORYTELLING SESSION
We had a fabulous English and German bilingual storytelling session at Goethe Institut, Chennai, with Janaki Sabesh! The children were in splits listening to Monkeys on A Fast.
Following the storytelling, the author of the book Kaushik Viswanath did a reading for the children and signed copies of the book.
KARADI TALES AT THE VIZAG JUNIOR LIT FEST 2019!
Showcasing our books Star Struck, The Lion’s Feast, Thukpa For All and Letters to Ammi, Karadi authors, illustrators and storytellers were at the Vizag Junior Lit Fest this month!
Karadi Tales’ publishing director Shobha Viswanath was on a panel discussion on ‘How Stories Shape our Lives’ at the Vizag Lit Fest, moderated by our author Praba Ram. Also on the panel were Roger Jenkins, storyteller, and Lavanya Karthik.
Janaki Sabesh and Chetan Sharma conducted a live, side-by-side storytelling and illustration session that enthralled the kids.
Aftab Yusuf Shaikh, author of our book Letters to Ammi at Vizag Junior Literary Fest conducted a writing workshop for kids.
Launched in 2018, the second edition of the Vizag Junior Literary Fest (VJLF) hosted an eclectic mix of authors, storytellers, puppeteers and illustrators who wove their magic on children and adults alike during the two-day fest (November 16 & 17).

A SPOOKY STORYTELLING EVENT!
We had a spooky storytelling session with storyteller Sudha Rajesh featuring our books The Night Monster and A Tangle of Brungles! Everyone came dressed in their scariest halloween costumes for a truly spooktastic time!
7th INTERNATIONAL PRINCIPALS’ EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE, NAGPUR
Mr. C.P. Viswanath, Co-founder & Director of the Karadi Path Education Company, presented the keynote address on ‘The Music Path to Language, Mathematics and Beyond’ at the 7th International Principals’ Educational Conference, on 20th November at Nagpur.
KASTURBA GANDHI BALIKA VIDYALAYAS (KGBV) PROJECT LAUNCH
Karadi Path Education Company Pvt. Ltd. in association with Samagra Siksha, Andhra Pradesh, UNICEF launched the KP ME SLL Intermediate Programme on the 20th of November 2019 as a part of the ‘Dream KGBV’ initiative of Andhra Pradesh which aims at providing quality education to its students. The programme was officially launched by Dr. A. Suresh, Honorable Minister for Education – AP at the District Collectorate of Prakasam District, in Ongole. The Minister launched the programme by handing over a KP Intermediate Material Kit to Ms. K. Sarala Kumari, School Special Officer, KGBV Ballikurava, Prakasam Dt – AP. Following this, he addressed the gathering on the importance of English Language Learning and appreciated the efforts taken so far.
In the year 2016, Karadi Path in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha and UNICEF signed an MoU for implementing the Karadi Path Magic English SLL programme in 24 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas in Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh. After successful completion of Level 1 & 2 of the programme, now for the year 2019-20, Samagra Siksha has decided to take up the level 3 of KP ME SLL programme to the 24 KGBVs and also expand the Level 1 of the KP ME SLL Intermediate Programme to 26 more KGBVs across the districts of Prakasam, West Godavari and Krishna in AP. Approximately 3000 students from Class 6 to 8 and 60 teachers from the 24 KGBV schools have benefited from the programme so far.
JOYFUL ENGLISH – EXPERIENCE SHARING REVIEW MEETING
Karadi Path and the Directorate of Tribal Welfare, Tamil Nadu, jointly organized an experience sharing and review meeting with 25 GTR School HMs at Directorate of Tribal Welfare on 4th November 2019. This was to review the status of implementation of the Joyful English Project. During this meeting, a contribution certificate was given to the HMs from all the 25 GTR schools who received the certificate from the Directorate of Tribal Welfare.
DEEP COMPREHENSION FOR DEEP LEARNING – WORKSHOP
Joyful and effective learning requires voluntary engagement from the learner. When the learner comprehends content at a deeper level, learning becomes an unending quest of discovery, and an unravelling of worlds of knowledge. ‘Deep Comprehension for Deep Learning’ was a workshop meant for school principals and members of school management presented by Mr. C.P. Viswanath – Co-founder & Director at Karadi Path, that took place on 23rd November at Courtyard by Marriott, Madurai.
