My association with Karadi tales dates back to the year 2000 when I suggested a Karadi Tales audiobook to my client as a gift for his grandson. Forwarding to 2015, I started reading to my daughter Vania when she was just a few months old and she used to respond to the audio of songs / rhymes/ stories! The 'Monkey' song became Vania's favourite. After we bought the rhymes set, 'My name is Madhavi' became her feeding time song that was tweaked to include all the people she knew! Vania soon got addicted to 'Kutti and the mouse' : it became the theme of her 3rd birthday! She recited the whole story one day without missing a word or tune from it! The video got her to win the 2nd place in a storytelling competition. Attending Karadi Tales story sessions regularly has not only helped improve her English vocabulary but has helped her familiarize with the different states, languages, festivals, Indian flag, fruits, preparing sambar, sarees… the list is endless. Our small collection of KT books and CDs are always a part of our travel list. I always recommend Karadi Tales to all my friends who like to introduce books to their kids.
